IICRC Certified FirmIICRC

Depend on an IICRC Certified Professional for Your Best Cleaning or Restoration Value.

IICRC Certified Firms Are Your Best Choice Because:

  • They are committed to provide cleaning and restoration services based on the highest standard of honesty and integrity;
  • They pledge to carry adequate liability insurance, and to implement quality assurance programs;
  • Their knowledge of cleaning and restoration is respected and recognized internationally by fiber producers, carpet and fabric manufacturers, and insurance company representatives.

CARPETS ETC. is registered with the IICRC. Certified Firms have earned the right to display the IICRC logo and symbol of quality. They employ one or more cleaners or restorers who have achieved IICRC Certifications through formal study, examination, and practical experience.

All your home or office furnishings will look better and last longer if they are cleaned on a regular basis by a certified professional. In fact, many manufacturers recommend professional cleaning to maintain warranties.

The IICRC is an international, independent, nonprofit certifying body. It was founded in 1972 to set standards for the cleaning/restoration service industry. The IICRC symbol is your assurance that the firm you hire has pledged to provide a qualified professional to care for your carpet and furnishings. IICRC Certification cannot be purchased. A firm qualifies by meeting rigorous standards of business ethics and expertise.

Cleaning BY THE BOOK! IICRC S100
Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Carpet Cleaning

There are currently five methods of carpet cleaning available. We are knowledgeable in all methods of cleaning. We have found the Hot-Water Extraction method, also known as Steam-Cleaning, to be the most thorough process of removing contaminants and this is the primary method of cleaning that CARPETS ETC. chooses.

To achieve maximum cleaning, certain procedural guidelines must be followed. That is why there are industry standards. Unfortunately, many companies avoid the necessary steps in the cleaning process because they are always in a hurry to arrive at their next scheduled appointment. CARPETS ETC. never overbooks a job, so that the necessary time and care is taken at each home or office to ensure the highest degree of soil removal.

We believe that each step in the cleaning process is as important as the next one. In fact, cleaning by the book will keep your carpet and furnishings cleaner longer than what other cleaning companies offer. This is what separates CARPETS ETC. from its competitors.

"I just want a BASIC steam-cleaning!"

Sorry! Nowhere in any IICRC Standards does it reference the word, "Basic" Steam-Cleaning. This word has been misused and misrepresented over the years by coupon-cleaning companies that use "low-ball" prices to get you, the consumer, to call them first! Then they raise the price of cleaning when they arrive. Regardless of whether you agree or not to the price increase, the level of service is always very poor.

"Normal" and "Restorative" are the terms used in the IICRC Standards, and indicate a very different meaning to the definition of clean.
